Trainspotting portrays the drug addiction of Mark Renton in his 20s and his friends. Renton has no goals in life other than drugs and his group of friends are no different. Their only goal is to get more drugs, attend parties and cause trouble. Renton, like many addicts, has tried to get clean multiple times and failed but one day he decides to try again. Not only he fails but he has a close call with a golden shot attempt. Renton, hospitalized, is now on a path of being a different man.
