korhan-bozkurtKorhan Bozkurt is a director living in Istanbul. He has begun his career in 2004 by shooting commercials and music videos. His first feature film is “O Kadın” which he wrote and directed in 2007. Korhan Bozkurt, who is also a musician, is an amateur photographer.

yosi-mizrahiHe was born in October 1, 1971 in Istanbul. He started his acting career in theatre and worked in many theatre companies including Dormen Theatre, E.S.E.K. and Tiyatrokare. He acted in many famous tv series such as Ruhsar, Yılan Hikayesi and Dadı. His first feature film role is in Yavuz Turgul’s The Bandit. He portrayed the character Tayanç Pakça in Cem Yılmaz’s latest feature film Ali Baba and the Seven Dwarfs. He continues acting in various theatre plays.

deniz-ugurBorn in Ankara on October 17, 1973. Her mother Suna Uğur is a ballerina and her father Mete Uğur is an opera singer. In 1995, she  graduated from İstanbul University State Conservatuary Theatre Department. For 25 years, she has worked with many famous actors and directors, been in many films, television series and theatre plays, done voice acting, worked as a script writer, columnist and written a novel. She is the mother of three children named Engin Deniz, Mina Deniz and Poyraz Deniz.

The Jury of 7th International Golden Scale Short Film Competition

İlksen Başarır was born in İstanbul in 1978. After finishing Saint Benoît French High School, she graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Communication. After her graduation, she started to work as an assistant director in İFR (İstisnai Filmler ve Reklamlar). There, she worked with many foreign and Turkish directors for TV commercials and feature-length films for four years. Her first motion picture experience was Semir Aslanyürek’s Şelale.

In 2009, she completed her film Başka Dilde Aşk and won many awards in film festivals including City Council Jury Prize in 46th Antalya International Film Festival; Special Jury Prize and Best Promising New Screenplay Award in 21st Ankara International Film Festival. Her second film Atlıkarınca was completed in 2010 and won Best Screenplay Award in 47th Antalya Golden Orange International Film Festival and Radikal People’s Choice Award in 30th İstanbul International Film Festival. Her latest film Bir Varmış Bir Yokmuş came out in 2015.


Funda-EryigitFunda Eryiğit was born in Holland in 1984. After finishing İstanbul University Faculty of Political Sciences, International relations, she graduated from İstanbul University State Conservatuary Depertmant of Theatre. In 2008, she played a supporting role in the tv series, Canım Ailem with Uğur Yücel and Ozan Güven. Her first cinema role was in Ev directed by Caner Özyurtlu and Alper Özyurtlu in 201. After that, she played in Limonata, directed by Ali Atay; Eksik, directed by Barış Atay and Yok Artık, directed by Caner Özyurtlu.

With her role in İstanbul State Theatre production Sessizlik, she won Promising Young Actress Award in 1st New Theatre Magazine Labour and Achievement Awards and Best Performance by an Actress in Musical or Comedy Award in 18th Sadri Alışık Theatre and Cinema Acting Awards in 2013. Her latest film Tereddüt by Yeşim Ustaoğlu was screened in Toronto International Film Festival.

Faysal Soysal was born in Batman in 1979. He left medical school to focus on poetry and cinema in 2000. Between 2003 and 2007, he finished his Masters Degrees on “Film Directing” in Tehran Art University-Iran and at the same time “New Turkish Literature” at Van Yuzuncuyil University-Turkey. He did 4 short films in Iran those, which were awarded at international film festivals. With his 35mm short film ‘Dreams of Lost Time, he’s become closer to find his own cinematographic expression and language.

In 2008, with a scholarship, he attended to the New York Film Academy. Faysal directed 4 short films; three of them were shot in 16mm. He published his Second poetry book ‘Bir Olunun Defteri’ in 2011. Faysal also translated poems from Sohrab Sepehri and F.G.Lorca and Babek Ahmedi’s, one of the best books on Tarkovsky ‘The Re-found Hope’ in to Turkish.

He finished filming his first feature film ‘Crossroads’ in 2013, Turkey and Bosnia &Herzegovina got 13 awards from film festivals. He did documentaries for Al Jazire and Trt Documentry channel. His articles on cinema and poetry have still been published in different magazines. At the same time, he works as volunteers for Doctors Worldwide Foundation and gives lectures on poetic cinema at different schools and academy. Now he is working on his new feature film project.
