Based on a true event, the 8 jurors deliver the very first jury verdict in Korea.
On the day of the 1st Citizen Participation Trial, all of the media’s
attention is focused on this very first jury trial in Korea’s juridical
history. 8 randomly selected citizens are called up to rule on a matricide case
which is almost always determined with conclusive evidence. While the judge
waits for the 8 jurors unanimous “Guilty” verdict to determine the conviction,
these way-too-passionate juries start to overturn the case raising questions
that had never been asked in the court
