The Cinema Honorary Awards are being presented to Rüçhan Çalışkur and Wang Xiaoshuai. Çalışkur continues to produce as one of the most powerful actresses in theater, film, and television throughout her career spanning over 45 years. Wang Xiaoshuai, a pioneering director of Chinese independent cinema, has won awards at numerous major festivals for his films. ICAPFF will honor the two masters by screening Yeşim Ustaoğlu’s Waiting for the Clouds, starring Rüçhan Çalışkur in an unforgettable performance that earned her the Best Actress Award at the 2004 Istanbul Film Festival, and Wang Xiaoshuai’s Beijing Bicycle, which won the Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize at the 2001 Berlin Film Festival.
