The 14th International Crime and Punishment Film Festival began with an opening ceremony held at Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall. During the ceremony, the festival program was introduced, and awards were presented.

The Academic Honor Award was given to Sami Selçuk by Bilgi University Rector Ege Yazgan.
