The 14th International Crime and Punishment Film Festival began with an opening ceremony held at Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall. During the ceremony, the festival program was introduced, and awards were presented.

The Contribution to Cinema Award was presented to Çetin Tunca by Meryem Yavuz.
